President Park Refuse Removal and Recycling

President Park's plastic and glass is picked up on Tuesdays whereas general refuse gets collected on Wednesday mornings. Collection is generally quite early in the morning, so be careful not to get out there too late and miss the collection.


President Park is our HOME! Don’t trash it, Don’t dump illegally. Recycle, Re-use and Reduce.

  • Be sure your refuse bin is labeled with your address as they tend to go missing!
  • Please do not leave refuse in packets on the side of the road. Pikitup will not take them and recyclers in the area break the bags looking for recyclable material
  • Please ensure you're part of the community groups for up to date  information on Pikitup strikes or alternative days for refuse removal. 
Recycling

Unfortunately recycling isn't something that we've got systemized in the suburb yet though we are working on it. In the interim there are some companies in the area that you can contact directly.

  • Petromax/Asibambane - recyclers of ferrous and non-ferrous metals offer same day service and respond within 24 hours. They also buy old appliances, motors, etc. Please contact Maryna on 0814341712
  • Phambili Waste Management Services give each household 2 free recycling bags. All recycling in one bag, No need to sort and it is free. Whatsapp Marianne on 0824608662 or email marianne@phambiliservices.co.za.

Building Rubble

Pikitup Midrand does not have any site that accomodates builders rubble. Please use a reputable person to remove your building rubble. It is important for the rubbish to be disposed of responsibly and taken to a proper dumping site and not on the side of our roads and in our open velds. 


If possible ask for a receipt from the dump site.

 

The following can be used to dump rubble:     

1. FG landfill site situated in Old Olifantsfontein road in Glen Austin.

2. Linbro Park landfill site In Marlboro road.

3. Chloorkop Landfill site situated in Masala street in Commercia 


Garden Waste

There are 6 garden sites that can be utilised for dumping garden waste:

1. Strandlopper garden site - Strand lopper street in Rabie Ridge.

2.Falcon Garden site -  Falcon street in Rabie Ridge.

3.Cedar road - Cnr Cedar rd & Bryanston Main rd in Kyalami AH.

4.Tuinfluiter garden site - Tuinfluiter street in Rabie Ridge.

5.Spreeu garden site -  Spreeu street in Rabie Ridge
